SCENE:
A thoroughly surprised Naomi as she walks in on D'Anclaude's hospital room at Shinora. I wonder...did she expect the bed to be empty?
CEL:
This cel is ASOUNDING in person. I think it's the best cel I own in terms of clarity and WOW in person. The B4 layer is her eyes and nose. There are two A8 layers-one is an extra layer of black lines for all her hair. It does wonders to accentuate those eyes. You really can't appreciate how stunning this piece is until you've seen her in person. It's very dark and brooding with absolutely liquid eyes. The other A8 layer is her hair and body. There is very little layer damage to the cels--really not worth mentioning. However, there is some rub having sat on the background for who knows how long.
BACKGROUND: A beautiful Original Matching. There is no cut #, and the holes are indented for the cel placement (maybe from the machine?). It's a pity this cel w/background haven't been kept in the best of shape...the background is faded to the shape of the cel. And they must have been stuck together in a past life since there is some paint loss on the background. However, when the cel is placed on top everything is perfect. There are staple holes at the top
PERSONAL COMMENTS:
This cel is very special to me. The wonderful couple that sold me this cel out of their gallery were very kind and kept me in mind when they were ready to pass it along. I can assure you both it has found a very happy home here with me!

This piece is currently at the Louvre (Frame Shop) where it's getting a lovely double matte. The colors really accentuate her background and her eyes. I can't wait to share!! Pity matting is sooo expensive...I'd love to matte all my cels!!!
